UVIS UV-Innovative Solutions GmbH offers hygiene solutions for various applications based on UVC technology as well as office hygiene workshops. Focussing on escalators and antibacterial coating the company creates innovative solutions addressing the increasing demand for hygiene standards in workspaces and public places. The Cologne based company was founded in 2016 by the managing directors Tanja Nickel and Katharina Obladen and is based in Cologne. The two founders were inspired to their first product idea back in school, when the swine flu pandemic hit Germany in 2010 and raised concerns for public hygiene improvement. To limit the risk of infection in public places, the founders developed the UVC disinfection module for escalator handrails ESCALITE ®, which was the starting point for all further product and service developments

Today, UVIS product range comprises the patented UVC disinfection module ESCALITE ® for escalator handrails and the antibacterial coating TiTANO. Further, UVIS offers a wide service portfolio including customized product development and consulting regarding the use of UVC technology. Additionally, UVIS runs hygiene workshops for companies in order to reduce sick days at work by introducing a hygiene routine compiled by the employees themselves.
